Romeo and Juliet

The masterpiece tragedy, one of the earlier works of the famous writer William Shakespeare, "Romeo and Juliet" is a story of two star-crossed young lovers from Verona, Italy. Their unfortunate deaths ultimately reconcile the feuding families of Capulet and Montague. William Shakespeare borrowed the plot from the old Italian folk tale, and it is believed that Romeo and Juliet were based on the actual characters who lived in Renaissance Verona, Italy.

Paris and Helen of Troy

She was the most beautiful woman in the world, proclaimed by the goddess Aphrodite herself. According to the mythology, Helen was half-divine, the daughter of Zeus and queen Leda. The God Zeus transformed into a swan to seduce the queen, which led to their romance and the birth of Helen. Paris was the "handsome, woman mad" price of Troy, and once he saw the Helen, had to have her. Helen was married at the time to Menelaus, king of Sparta, which however didn't stop this story unfold.
